Programme Director:
Mrs. Maria Superville-Neilson (B. Ed. Hons)

An ANSA McAL employee her whole career, Maria Superville-Neilson began as Secretary to the Finance Director of Standard Distributors Ltd in 1974. She then became Assistant Secretary to the ANSA Group Chairman Dr Anthony N Sabga and was later appointed his Executive Secretary. In 1996 she was named Corporate Public Relations Manager at ANSA McAL Ltd. She became Programme Director of The Anthony N Sabga Caribbean Awards for Excellence (ANSCAFE) in May 2007.

She is a former President of the National Association of Administrative Professionals and the Caribbean Association of Administrative Professionals. She holds the Administrative Professional Secretaries (APS) designation and LCCI Diploma in Marketing. She is Secretary of the ANSA McAL Foundation and Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Guardian Neediest Cases Fund.

As Programme Director, Maria reports to an EPP Operations Sub-Committee which oversees planning and provides ongoing governance and direction for the programme.

  • May - June:

    Re-appointment of Nominating Committees.

  • July - August

    Call for nominations issued.

  • August 31st

    Nomination period closes.

  • October 1st:

    Selections process begins.

  • January (following year)

    Public announcement of Laureates.

  • April (following year)

    Award Ceremony.
